Electrostatic Answers is a consulting firm that dissipates and neutralizes static electricity from your work environment. At your invitation, I’ll visit your facility with my state-of-the-art equipment and conduct a through investigation. Based on the results, I’ll recommend the most appropriate static performance solutions to improve the safety and operability of your company.

One highly effective diagnostic method is to follow the material flow through your operation and measure the static levels at key locations (i.e., conduct a static survey). At your request, I will document my measurements, analysis, and recommendations in a report.

Static problems are caused by accumulated charges that engage in a competition between two different mechanisms, (1) charging and (2) discharging. I measure static to diagnose the problem (that is, find the sources of static charging), identify opportunities to improve static performance (effectively dissipate static electricity), and verify that the solutions work (robust solutions are effective over a variety of conditions).

Many static problems may be diagnosed by telephone consultations and e-mail exchanges. I may request additional information, after which I will analyze the data. I have experience solving static problems in roll-to-roll manufacturing operations involving film forming, converting (slitting, chopping, sheeting, and packaging), coating, and printing. Additionally, I have improved static control in electrostatic spray coating, solvent handling, chemical manufacturing operations, plastic parts manufacturing (vibratory sorting, pneumatic transport), clean rooms, and in electronic assembly operations.
